Innovation
Asamer’s current innovations.
Continual research – market innovation – new technologies and products.
The wealth of ideas we have is the basis of Asamer’s success. However, successful innovation only actually occurs if these ideas are backed up by concrete actions. In order to keep ahead in an extremely competitive market, Asamer invests large sums every year in research and development. New technologies are being designed specifically for the construction industry, to improve the utilisation of the raw materials and the quality of the end products.

ASAplex F100
A predominantly natural rubber, mechanically and cryogenically processed to an optimal grain shape and combined with synthetic milled fibres. ASAplex F100 improves asphalt characteristics in respects to deformation resistance and rigidity.
ASAplex G250
A synthetic SBR rubber, mechanically and cryogenically processed to an optimal grain shape and combined with synthetic milled fibres. ASAplex G250 is used as a binding agent medium in asphalt concrete production and prevents the adhesive agents from draining off during transport and placement (SMA, SMA L). The rubber contingent also modifies the inherent properties of the asphalt.
bike•protect – The driving-over protection for motorcycles
The rubber-coated steel belt replaces the stiff metal barrier! This innovative structure makes bike protect both elastic and, at the same time, stable. The patented system reaches to the ground and directs gently in the direction of travel. The driving-over protection consists of 3.8 m long modules. The optimal adaptation to existing guard rail systems can be made by selecting the height of bike protect. Special round bumpers are located at both ends. The selectable color of the rubber coating increases the awareness of the drivers and pedestrians.
Zeolites
are micro porous aluminosilicate minerals. They can be of natural origin or of synthetic production. One of these zeolites is the mineral clinoptilolite which is used in our products. It has a very high porosity and is able to storage water and other molecular solids inside and gives them free without destroying its crystal struture. Because of this, our products are useable in different ways. In agriculture for example, clinoptilolite can be used as litter- or feed additive to save moisture or binding ammonia or toxins. In fishkeeping, in pools or ponds it can be used as filter media to keep the water clean. Zeolite can be used in many different applications, where you have to transport or remove solids. CleanPlay is one of our new products where our clinoptilolite works as supporting agent. It is a natural product what keeps away cats and dogs. Get more information for this product: www.cleanplay.at
Lithos Talc LP
Talc is a natural sheet silicate with high lamellar structure, high whiteness and purity, recommended as functional filler for plastic reinforcement, as filler in coatings, paints and paper etc. The processes at Lithos are grinding methods for high delaminating effects. This gives an improvement in the functional properties of the application by achieving a high aspect ratio (e.g. increased E-Modulus in PP).
Cemtex
Cemtex is a recyclable binding material made from rubber balls, cement, water and additives. It can be coloured and used as decorative plates or as an alternative to plaster board in dry mortarless construction. Cemtex was awarded the Lafarge Award for innovation in 2006.
Fluid, self-thickening material to fill trenches
This is a special mixture of binding materials, sand and additives. It is especially suitable for filling trenches with closely laid pipes which need a quick but solid bed which can be removed again for maintenance work.
Basalt fibres
Basalt fibres are manufactured through a process of melting basalt and extruding it through tiny nozzles to form fibres. This process was originally developed in the former USSR in strict secrecy and was use by the space and aeronautic industries. Continuous basalt fibre is very resistant to high temperatures, chemicals and alkaline, and has a high tensile strength. It is a very good insulator, can be easily recycled and is made from a natural raw material.
